Well, a testament to the difficulty in keeping daily entries is the lack of new entries by me. I have noticed a sharp drop in my web statistics. Vanity drives me to keep 'em up, keep 'em up although I have no commercial reason to continue with boosting attendance.

I walked all over the city yesterday with a notebook and Road Side Dog, a book by Czeslaw Milosz. It's a superb rumination on all things human by a very wise man. He remarks many times that he is evil and unredeemable, but I beg to differ.

Let us not talk philosophy, drop it, Jeanne.
So many words, so much paper, who can stand it.

I've stopped worrying about my misshapen life.
It was no better and no worse than the usual human tragedies.

An exerpt. Anyhow, life is going pretty well. I bought a 1985 Toyota van. Seems pretty good, but it's still at the mechanic. Space cadet that I am, I lost all the papers. Great one, brother.

But on the plus side, I did win at poker last night.
